Every year, the South Georgia Film Festival receives hundreds of films from across the region and the world. It takes a team of people to help sort through all of the films to create the best weekend event for our community. The majority of films are screened by students from Valdosta State University, along with faculty and staff. We have been lucky to have so many other people help us sort through all of the films to find the very best!

We’re looking for a passionate and diverse group of movie fans to help us select the best films for the 2026 South Georgia Film Festival. If you have an appreciation and understanding of filmmaking, we want YOU to be part of our screening team!
Your help will be rewarded.
– Screen approximately 2 hour per week (20 hours total) you’ll receive a Day Pass
– Screen approximately 4 hours per week (40 hours) you’ll receive a Festival Pass
– Screen approximately 6 hours per week (60 hours) you’ll receive a VIP Pass (minus the festival shirt)
– Screen approximately 8 hours per week (80 hours) you’ll receive a VIP Pass and festival t-shirt
If you go beyond that, we’ll see what else we’ve got in the office we can share with you.
Please send an email to SouthGeorgiaFilm@Valdosta.edu listing:
